I have been studying the impact of screen time and screen addiction for about a year. This article by FastCompany.com (This article is republished from The Conversation.) supports what I have learned about screen time and addiction.
The article, Secondhand Screen Time May be Just as Dangerous as Secondhand Smoke, has a compelling argument about babies seeing the habit of screen time by watching their parents. It also explores the possible consequences of too much screen time.
The article posted in nzherald.co.nz shares research about the hazards of too much screen time, “Children as young as two are developing mental health problems because of smartphones and tablets, scientists warn.”
The opinions about screen time and it’s negative effect on babies seems to be agreed upon across the globe. There are a handful of people who encourage gaming with children but generally not children younger than two years old.
